I am an English-grown college-bound old-fashioned chappy who may well be the reincarnation of Sherlock Holmes (sans the drug addiction).

Sprung from a fantastic family of six, I currently attend Southern Methodist University where I hope to pursue a BA in Linguistics. I have three younger brothers and both biological parents (including a Captain Chaplain sir) and their cat, all of whom I love dearly and value above all other people (except the cat).

Though an old (and old fashioned) soul, I don't deny that I'm young and full of myself, high on life and love being me, though I often have to be taken down a few notches. I'm also an introvert, but most people seem surprised by this fact, in much the same way they're surprised to find I'm not actually a liberal, or any of the other large number of things it's easy to assume of me.

At present the primary purpose of blogging here is for the benefit of my family, who would like to keep up with me after I've moved away. So this is my way of being the dutiful first-born.
